Protocols of the Elders of Scion...

"OH, WHAT A FEELING!" Here I am basking in the warm flames of the Toyota Scion XD with Sugar Seville and Chi5 Shenzhou as spectators sitting on Chi5's BMW motorcycle.

Hey performance art fans!

I have decided to post some archived snapshots that were taken a couple of weeks ago to provide you with historical documentation of the event which inspired the genesis of my new performance/installation mini-series called "Scionist Regime Change".

So consider this blog posting as a kind of "Protocols of the Elders of Scion" where me and a few friends from the Odyssey Island cabal inspired me to conspire over plans to set the Scion ablaze in various configurations at to-be-announced sims. ;-)

Here was how my solo performance/installation conspiracy started...

About 3 weeks ago or so, Sugar and I got ahold of a Scion XD and decided to give it a test drive. We wanted to test-drive this Scion and cars like it for Top-Secret reasons which we will likely disclose in a few weeks...

Here is a close-up of Sugar and myself driving the Scion. We both agreed that the Scion was overhyped and did not meet our specific design requirements. For example, you will notice that the ceiling was not entirely solid and too low to accomodate my trademark hairstyle... and believe me, accomodating style is everything in Second Life! In addition, the Scion did not accelerate very quickly..it is definitely NOT a sportscar...in fact, we could barely get the engine revving at all... If you look out the passenger side window (where I am seated) you will see that it took us virtually forever to leave the vicinity of Sugar's parked spaceship (which she designed herself, by the way). Ultimately, we felt that the Scion also lacked something passionate and adventurous in its design...we felt that the car was lacking er.... a spark! Yes! That is it... there was just something about the way it was designed that was begging for it to get a little fired up...

Seattle's 3D cinema buff Sea Ra joined us to see what we were all up to...it was right at that moment that we finally set the Scion alight...

...and here we have the new-and-improved Toyota Scion XD...aesthetically tailored for the 2nd and 3rd World!

Here I am totally engulfed by the stylish flames...it is a good thing my hair is prim and proper enough to completely absorb the fire.
