SAVEME NIGHT FEVER - Dancing like it is 2009...

Hey there SaveMe Oh Fans!

First, a reminder of Sunday's promo...
Wirxli Flimflam's Final Performance...
A Tribute to SaveMe Oh...

WHEN: Valentines Day - February 14 (Sunday), 2010 - 1 PM SLT

WHERE: DIABOLUS ARTSPACE -
Benvolio 150, 135, 3249

Contact person: Velazquez Bonetto.

Just when I had finished posting about the glory days of hanging out with SaveMe Oh in 2009, I managed to spot her again at a tiny party hosted by Loop Luo at the Hard Rock Cafe in Singapore...I think it was called Loopland Radio or something like that....Sure enough, Loop said SaveMe might be dropping by and there she was! Wow!
Before I reveal her glorious appearance at this event, here are some pix of me dancing with Loop and one of her friends..

...and another pic...

..and then....she arrives!

...well, ok, maybe she pretended not to be too thrilled to see me there...I am sure she was just kidding around, right? At least I know for sure she knows I am someone persistent here...someone who is always around on call to do the most punky performance art in the whole metaverse! She will soon see what a partner-in-crime I can really be...I have read that women like this - especially in bars - LOVE it when the other individual (guy or girl) acts cocky and pretends to be tough and all that so I did my best to bring on the 'tude and focus her attention on me...I think it worked...she certainly gave me attention, even when she pretended to avoid me...and she was pretending, right? RIGHT????

When she was not so responsive, I just went for the more direct approach...

Although she did not seem interested in dancing with me, she was at least speaking with me...I betcha many of those other groupies would have begged just to even get her attention and for a few minutes, I got it from her..I GOT IT FROM HER! :-) :-) :-) :-)

When directness did not work either, I returned to the illusion of appearing to be "cocky" and tough...good thing my in-world recreational drug use always makes me feel bolder than my RL self...

At one point, SaveMe gave me a lot of attention..she even managed to hit me repeatedly with her baseball bat...she MUST know that I LOVE getting beaten up by hot artist girls!

I love it even MORE, when I get shot at by hot artist gals...

I am sure true artists like SAVEME go CRAZY for Po-Mo antics like referring to my previous performances in an ironic way...

I even have a guilty pleasure for being smothered by conventional aesthetically pleasing objects...

The best was when she threatened to wipe my skinny purple ass with oh so soft rolls of toilet paper(!)

Even in the dark, I could find where SaveMe was thanks to her nametag :-)

...after that, she said she was "leaving this place forever" and disappeared...sigh! It will take me ages to find her but I know she will be around to witness my final performance for her on Sunday...

Avatar Orchestra Metaverse Performance for Enniv Zarf's Sculpture Competition...

If you cannot see this video, click here.
If you want to see Wirxli with his/her usual clothes on, you are out of luck! ;-)

Here are the assembled members of the Avatar Orchestra Metaverse after completing today's show at Enniv Zarf's Krystal Epic compound ...We were all trying to cram ourselves in front of our tiny logo on display at Zarf's SintixErr Gallery for a photo-shoot... I think we need a larger logo...sigh!

UPDATE FROM THE FUTURE:
Plurabelle Posthorn has reviewed this show on the Virtual Artists' Alliance blog.

Hey performance art and new muzak fans,

I have just finished performing with the Avatar Orchestra Metaverse.
I am really tired in RL right now (mega headache) but hey, I was able to make it in time to perform...phew!

Once again, we performed Rue Blanche by Miulew Takahe and WNK by Bingo Onomatopoeia.

Unlike previous performances and rehearsals of these two compositions, Loop Luo streamed the event live in both audio and video formats for those outside SL to check out the concert as it happened...

I am hoping to get some archives from this event very soon so please stay tuned to this blog..in the meantime, check out these photos and the rest of this blog...

This pic was taken right at the beginning of the concert..Check out the cars in the background..they were offered as prizes or maybe it was part of Enniv's car competition or something... Expect to hear alot more on the subject of the "best cars in Second Life" very very soon :-) That curvy thingy on the right is the Bingophone, I think...

I forgot to mention that we performed as part of the Spirit Fens Art Festival also known as "Artomatic". Hmmm...the festival seems to be based in Washington, DC - I wonder if our performance was projected into a RL gallery there? I will have ask Enniv more about the details behind our performance venue as I had no idea about any of this until I read the giant billboard hyping the sponsor(s) on the wall...always good to know who your sponsors are...I wish to thank Enniv Zarf for inviting us, by the way... Speaking of sponsors, it was great to see that SL Reports was officially covering the event...it helped that they also acted as one of the many official sponsors for this festival :-)

...at this point, we were firing up Bingo's composition... Oh a quick tangent - I really like Miulew's shirt! :-) I think the whole event went quite well...phew!

My first gig with the Avatar Orchestra Metaverse...

Video recorded by AngryBeth Shortbread. If you cannot see this embedded video, click here.

Here I am about to officially perform with the Avatar Orchestra Metaverse for the 1st time. You can see from my point of view that is was midnight and you can also see what the performance interface looked like from my perspective. The nametags above the avatars give you their names. DeThomas Dibou will be joining our group for the next performance.

Hey performance art and new music fans,

I have just literally finished performing my first concert with the Avatar Orchestra Metaverse at the Odyssey Ampitheater (Odyssey 104, 80, 22 are the stage coordinates)!

We performed a piece called "FADHEIT" which was composed by the group's founder Maximillian Nakamura.
In addition to Max and myself, the performers consisted of Bingo Onomatopoeia, Paco Mariani and Miulew Takahe.

DeThomas Dibou will be officially joining us as an orchestra player for our next performance but for now, he had to resort to listening to us from the sidelines.

There was great photo-documentation by Loop Luo!
She took a portrait of me, plus a group photo and more photos on Flickr.

Bryan Dix from the SL-Newspaper was also there so I expect to see a news report from him very soon.

Stay tuned for some more embedded Youtube video-documents of upcoming performances courtesy of AngryBeth Shortbread :-)

In the meantime, check out Miulew Takehe's audio podcast recordings of takes 2 & 3.
